Gratitude
It is November 25, 2020, the day before Thanksgiving. In a ‘normal’ year I would have been baking at night after work, finishing up my work week, and looking forward to a long weekend. This year, everything is SO different. I am feeling very grateful this year, and this both surprises and delights me. I will miss seeing my family on Thanksgiving, but for everyone’s safety it’s the right thing to do.
I am grateful to be spending the weekend with Lee. We plan to watch movies, eat healthy snacks, and relax.
I am grateful for the TIME I have had- to work on our home, work on my projects, cook for Lee and I, twice daily workouts, and the time to restore and listen to myself.
I am grateful for Lee. He has been supportive of everything I have chosen to do these past 6 months. He helped me get this blog off the ground, joined me in our Keto lifestyle, and has been the wind in my sails every day.
I am grateful for my family. They laugh at my silly cartoons and jokes. They listen to my wins and losses on the job front. All of them have pushed me to do better, try new things, and to be my best self.
I am grateful to all of you, for reading my blog. Thank you for your continued feedback (Of course I’d love more! You can comment on the blog or e-mail me at lay-offlemonade@gmail.com). Thank you for trying the recipes, laughing at my cartoons, and for taking the time to share my story.
What are you thankful for? What is making you smile right now? I’d love to hear your story!
