Walking with Purpose
There are days when getting out for a walk is easy. Those days I get into my walking gear and I’m out of the house. Other days I am making lists, cleaning, doing anything to ignore my walk. I have figured out if I find a ‘reason’ to walk-an errand I can do on foot, I am more likely to get out there. My Mother in-law lives near by, the post office is close-ish, our grocery store is also close. So, I plan my morning with a plan to drop something off at Lee’s parent’s home, mail a letter or package, or pick up groceries. The focus of these ‘errands’ gives me the push I need to get out of the house.
This PURPOSEFUL walking combined with my motivated walking has garnered me another successful week of walking!
How are you doing with your walking goals? Killing it? Waiting to get started? Somewhere in between? Keep at it, you will get there!
As we all adapt to a quieter holiday season, think about taking a walk with people in your ‘bubble’. The forecast here in the midwest is cold, so bundle up and get out there! Walking with people you love is filled with joy. Then come back inside for hot chocolate and a holiday movie!
