Ina Garten’s Virtual Book Tour
Ina Garten is my favorite Food Network Chef. I love how her recipes are simple, have bold flavors, and always turn out well. I enjoy reading the background to her recipes, a dish she ate at a restaurant, a favorite meal with her husband Jeffrey, or a dish she served at her catering company Barefoot Contessa.
Over the years, Lee has bought me every one of her 11 cookbooks. I go back to them every time I am looking for inspiration or an old favorite.
This fall Ina has her 12th book out! My mother in-law surprised me by purchasing the book for me. And when I saw that Ina was doing a virtual book tour, and knew I needed to be a part of this event!
Thursday night I joined a group of Ina fans for a wonderful hour of Ina. She spoke about socially-distant entertaining during quarantine, stories about working at the White House in the 1980’s, and recipes in her new book: Modern Comfort Food.
I received the book today!! I cannot wait to share my experiences as I cook my way through Modern Comfort Foods! (I imagine this might seem like the movie Julie & Julia, when Julie Powell is inspired to cook all 524 recipes in Julia Child’s Cookbook-’Mastering the Art of French Cooking’!! There are 85 recipes, so buckle up!! :))
